About MSDE- The Ministry is responsible for co-ordination of all Skill Development efforts across the country, removal of disconnect between demand and supply of skilled manpower, building the vocational and technical training framework, skill up-gradation, building of new skills and innovative thinking not only for existing jobs but also jobs that are to be created.
The Ministry aims to skill on a large scale with speed and high standards in order to achieve it’s vision of a ‘Skilled India’.
About DGT- The Directorate General of Training (DGT) under the aegis of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is the apex organisation for development and co-ordination of the long term vocational training across the country.
This includes a network of about 15,000 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) (Govt. and Pvt.) in States; 33 National Skills Training Institutes (NSTIs)/ National Skills Training Institutes for Women (NSTI-W) and other central institutes.
